If your call is a med ically urgent issue or an urgent issue concerning your mental health our on-call provider will contact you. If your call is not regarding an urgent issue, your primary care or mental health provider will contact you during business hours.
Health Insurance Enrollment: If you are uninsured we can help you find out if you qualify for insurance and we can help you get an insurance that is right for you. If you do not qualify for insurance, you might be eligible for state programs like ADAP and PrEP AP.
All our medical providers are also specializing in HIV – you do not have to worry about being identified as HIV positive by seeing a particular provider. Your dedicated provider will take care not only of your HIV but any other medical condition you might have. This way, you don’t need to see multiple doctors and you can be sure that you are in good hands.

We know that sometimes finding money to buy a Metrocard to go to your doctor’s appointment can be difficult. That is why patients who live below 100% of the federal poverty level or have Medicaid can get a two way metro card when they come for appointments.
We believe all patients have the right to healthcare they understand. We have Spanish, Cantonese and Mandarin speaking medical providers, access to a professional language line, and also bilingual staff who are trained to assist in interpretation.
You can send Apicha CHC a refill request through the Patient Portal. It takes 1 business day to refill a prescription, and up to 3-4 additional business days if a prior authorization is required by your insurance.
In the Patient Portal, you can send messages to your medical provider with questions or concerns. They may not be comfortable diagnosing any issues without seeing you first, but they may be able to tell you whether the issue can wait until your next appointment to be looked at or if you need to come in sooner.

It is convenient—there is no need to stop at the pharmacy or wait for prescriptions to be filled after leaving the clinic.
Please keep in mind that new refills take anywhere between 1-3 business days, depending on the day you request the refill and the provider’s schedule. We will also coordinate with your provider to obtain a prior authorization with your insurance company should you need one.
